Walnut Valley Outpost opened as "Cowley Fitness" in March of 2013. It all started with owner Tara Sutton offering small group fitness training three times a day five days a week. As a practical application of her master's degree in aging studies and graduate certificate in public health Tara knew just how important physical fitness is for maintaining a healthy life. Her fitness classes continue to balance strength training and cardio to produce long-lasting and sustainable results. Unlike the latest fitness craze the principles of strength and fitness never go out of style and are sustainable over a lifetime. No matter whether you are an young athlete or a grandmother keeping up with the grandkids there is something for you in Tara's classes.
WHO: Our general fitness classes are designed and personalized for everyone! Our everyday fitness clients benefit from the correct mix of cardio, strength, and HIIT training to insure long-lasting results. Our endurance athletes enjoy the injury prevention and joint protection benefits afforded through cross training. Our program can be adjusted to meet your personal needs, no matter what health and fitness goal you have in mind. We are also experts in working around, and with, chronic and acute injuries.
WHAT: We develop and plan a general fitness program that takes all of the prep work off of your shoulders. Our clients benefit from our unique mix of cardio, strength and HIIT training. We train for overall health, which means that we never do too much of one thing. You will not "get bulky" from our program, nor will you be prepared to run a marathon tomorrow. However you will feel amazing and be prepared to tackle any goal that you may have in mind!
WHEN: We workout three times a day, Monday through Friday. We're here at 5:30 am, 11:30 - 1 pm and again from 5 - 7 pm. You're welcome to join us anytime! You're also welcome to drop by or contact us or text us at 620-312-8030 to schedule a time to check it out that's not during a class.
